It is opening day at Fenway Park. Celebration of the 2007 World Series championship. a beautiful day in the neighborhood. {I agree with Coach Andy Card that we hope that the Red Sox are playing much better in October than they have so far in April!}
Thought that you all might like to hear what the scribes are saying about last weekend's racing in the Yale Daily News.
Navy HWs fall to Columbia and lose Stevenson Trophy Race
Folks...
The Light Blue Lions of Columbia got off to fast start, led by a length at mid-race and finished 6 seats (2.7 seconds) ahead of Rick Clothier's 1V in racing on Lake Carnegie this morning. The win was the first for Columbia since racing for the Maxwell Stevenson Trophy renewed in 2002.
Next for the Navy HWs -- Adams Cup versus Harvard and Penn on the Schuykill River in Philadelphia next weekend. The rest of the Navy HW squad will race Columbia on May 4. That same weekend the Navy HW 1V will travel to Seattle to race the 2007 IRA National Champion Washington Huskies.
